Chief District Judge Rodney Gilstrap issued a General Order yesterday distributing the caseload among the Eastern District of Texas Judges as follows:

Beaumont Non-Patent Civil = 80%

Beaumont Criminal = 70%

Sherman Criminal = 50%

Beaumont, Lufkin, and Sherman Capital Murder and Murder Cases = 100%

Judge Amos Mazzant

Sherman Non-Patent Civil = 100%

Sherman Patent = 100%

Sherman Criminal = 100%

Judge Trey Schroeder

Texarkana Civil = 100%

Texarkana Criminal = 100%

Marshall Non-Patent Civil = 5%

Sherman Non-Patent Civil = 25%

Judge Jeremy D. Kernodle

Tyler Civil = 50%

Notably, the case load in Tyler will be split 50/50 between the newest judge of the Eastern District of Texas, Judge J. Campbell Barker, and Judge Jeremy D. Kernodle, who took the bench earlier this year.
